1916 -1926 Gibson A-4 Custom 12 String Mandolin
The serial number 28674 would place it at 1916
The angle of the headstock "The Gibson" script is unique to 1926
So we figure this A-4 was re-necked by Gibson as a 12 string in 1926
Most likely custom ordered by Al Bluhm whose name appears on the truss rod cover
Only 12 string A-4 we've seen so far
Doesn't really sound a whole lot different than an 8 string model
Providing you have gotten it in tune
Love those 6 on a strip Handel inlaid tuning peg buttons
