HO-0007 ca. 1891 Howe-Orme
Cello Mandola EXC I have converted this to a 5
string tenor guitar by simply replacing the nut and the bridge so it can
easily be converted back to a mandola if so desired. It has a 20" scale length.
Nurt width is 1 5/16". Spruce
top and mahogany back
and sides. No cracks and just a few dings here and there. Rosewood
headstock overlay
and original tuning
pegs. Unique
cylinder top and perfectly aged wood gives it a strong sound and
contributes to the structural integrity and has made it last in fine shape
for over 130 years and ready to rock. The label is in fine shape with Serial
number 294. There must be some sort of a case around here somewhere that
will work for shipping.
Price: $3850.00
GM - 00106 2007 Corrado
Giacomel Octave Mandolin EXC+ A beauty from
Corrado Giacomel of Genoa Italy. Red Sunburst spruce top and flamey maple back and sides, all crack
free. Maple neck and ebony fingerboard, pickguard and adjustable
bridge. Super comfortable ebony tailpiece. I think if the
classic Loar design two point body with a scroll is the American
equivalent to the Corvette, then the Giacomel design is equivalent to
the Ferrari. He has given an Italian flavor even to the 'flowerpot' on
the headstock and certainly to the
classic scroll. Gold
plated tuning pegs.
This mandolin has great power and fantastic tone that has plenty of
depth in the low end and develops nice reverberation at the high end.
20" Scale Length 1 5/16" Nut Width. Gig Bag.
Price: $11,000.00
